2014, What a year it had been

2014  started with so much anticipation. We were awaiting the birth of our second kid and secretly hoping to have a daughter this time. Even on January 10th when they were taking me inside the OT I was praying to God to bless us with a daughter. and when my Doctor said those magical words 'It's a girl'...my joy knew know bound. Tears rolling down my cheek I just felt grateful...so did my family. We cheered, we celebrated her birth and I thanked God thousand time for making my dream come true...

But I did not know what he had in store for me. He just made me realise that "Sometimes the dreams that come true, are the dreams you never even knew you had." So true.

I never knew I  could get so much recognition for the work that I do.  2014 made me realise. From media mention to meet my food heroes, from my own TV episodes to organising events...I got them all in this year. Yes for the first time.

This year I was featured on The Telegraph, as part of the buzzing Kolkata food Blogging scenario. HERE

Was featured by Indian Express (Indulge; Chennai and Bangalore)  (2nd May'14) to talk about my favourite 3 food joints in Kolkata

Was featured on Ananda Bazar Patrika's 'Ebela' on 21st November'14

My Blog and our Group KFB's Maiden venture as organisers were featured again on The Telegraph (T2, 27.12.14)

Then I was invited by the Twist of Taste, season 4 team to shoot with none other than Masterchef Vikas Khanna himself. Am so proud to be part of their Kolkata story.

In October came another surprise. Etv Bangla's Prothoma team offered me to shoot with them and I cooked and shot 12 episodes for their prestigious program. Such a great highlight of the year.

Last but not the least the year ended with hosting none other than Rocky and Mayur of Highway on my plate fame. These very humble foodie duo along with the superbly talented team of Director Abhinandan Sekhri shot at our place for an upcoming show. It was the perfect end of the year.

My Family had always been my biggest priority. I left my job to take care of my family, Shifted continents to live near to them and I still could leave everything I have for them, without any second thought, in a blink. But this little personal space of mine nurtured me when I felt down and you my friends have given the biggest support. You all read my mindless blabbering, tried my recipes, wrote to me and cheered me when something good came by.

I feel blessed to have you all in my life. Hope to keep doing and sharing whatever I have been doing till date.
Lets toast to a great new year...Lets hope it brings joy, happiness and fulfillment to each of our lives.
May God bless you all.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015.
